It usually takes some time for blogs to get indexed. This depends partly on your hosting server. I’ve discovered from experience that sites on my server get indexed within days even without submission to the search engines. If an already popular website is present on the server, depending on the logical structure of your hosting, it affects all other sites.

Also, be sure your site is not blocking out search engines. Check to find out that you don’t have a robots.txt file (and if you do, find ou what it says). Also, confirm that you don’t have the following in the head of your index file: (in tags)- meta name=”robots” content=”noindex, nofollow”

A fast way can also be to use a ping service. Here is the link to Google’s ping service for blogs:

http://blogsearch.google.com/ping

You should try http://pingomatic.com. It pings various search engines at once.
